Hello all! I am running a research study for a Human Computer Interaction course and was wondering if you would like to participate. This is completely voluntary and is able to be quit at any point during participation. It would only take about 10 minutes and would involve playing three different builds of a two minute experience and answering a few questions on a survey. Instructions are below.

The Game

You will be playing a game where you interact with multiple characters between stages. A stage change can be recognized when the music changes and you enter a new area.

  • Kanin is the character you will be controlling.
  • Katt will follow you from stage to stage *She will have something new to say at each stage
  • Ondulv is the wolf character that will be encountered once
  • The Ward is who you interact with to finish your “run” of the build you are playing and is in the last stage.

Controls

(Use arrow keys to interact with start menu and press “ENTER” to start the game)

E—Interact/Talk/Continue Dialogue

D—Move right

A—Move left

W—Look up/Enter Temple (When arrow appears)

**If presented with a choice in dialogue press 1 or 2 to make your choice. Hitting “E” or interact will default to choice 1.

Instructions

  1. Open this link to start the survey you will be referencing throughout the plays
  2. Play build SPRUCE and then answer the rating question for spruce
  3. Play build OAK and then answer the rating question for oak
  4. Play build CEDAR and then answer the question for cedar
  5. Once all three builds are complete finish the rest of the survey

Thank you for your help if you can participate!
