(Mainly) About Skill Tree Changes

Whilst in principal a skill tree for each character is a good idea, and I'd definately prefer it that way, not sure I like how this is playing out. Since the skill points are shared across all characters, you can't really buff more than a handful of your team decently with the number of points available. If you want to balance your team a bit, you end up having to spread your points a little too thinly. Yes, choosing which skills to spend points on is a game strategy as a rule, but given the sheer number of skills now available and the current number of points available (I've completed all of current game and even if I full reset, only have 61 points total, which isn't a lot when you consider how expensive some of these skills get over 12 characters), just seems a bit on the painful side atm. Not to mention that the locking of certain skills to certain characters (especially the buffs to hp and def) means it's drastically weakened several of my party members.

Not saying it's a bad concept, but personally think could do with more points to spend and also 'general' skills available to all chars to buff base stats (like hp and def) a bit, if not as much as characters requiring said stat. Because as it stands the seperated skill trees have weakened my team a fair bit.

Sorry for the heavy complaint :) Just can't pretend fond of this change. Love this game as a whole, but this just... well, ouch.

Oh, and as a side note, since still haven't got a reply on my previous thread on the topic, can anyone tell me why I can't change my unit class (on country overview map) to cavalier without it telling me I lack the resources to do so (even though got WAY more than enough)?

Skillstones are easy to get in Raid dungeon. Without using the +50 Skillpoint cheat in the bedroom, I managed to make a team with full skill sets.

I was also able to switch up characters whenever I get bored since I can reset the skillpoints (important) or change their roles whenever I want. Ex: Changing Tank Brad to DPS Brad.

All in all, the new skill tree and system is a good upgrade from before. If only Elly isn't bugged right now, I would have been able to kill Shika and Funeral in a few turns along with Mirel.

If you really want to get all their skills, farm the steel chest in Raids.
