Sorry, I just got done reading the document front to back, and I still have zero clue on what bloodlines and maligns are. Can you give me two or three examples? The definitions given tell me basically nothing.

From the rules:  a bloodline is their life and place in the world before they crossed over. a malign is the cosmic wrong that created their restless soul.

And example I can think of would be my bloodline is a poor family that lived in the slums and worked as servants for the mansion's owners and my malign is that the mansion's owners refused to help when my daughter was kidnapped and so we never saw our child again.

I've just read through and I'm having the same issue! 
Talking it through with a friend and we came up with something like "flibble the parisian who lost their lucky button" or "blumph the librarian who was murdered by their brother".
so [name] the [job or place descriptor] who [something happened to that made them a ghost].

That's just ideas so it would be great to hear from the developer/others if we're anywhere close!
