Carrying over a save file

Hey im new to handling files and stuff, is there a away to bring over a save file from the may build into the june build?

Developer

If you're talking about Patreon updates, bringing old saves to new builds is not possible, because when I make changes to the database the new version can't read older saves. If you're talking about public builds, the save you started in May's build can be carried over to July's and September's builds.

Is there a simple explanation on how to do that or can I find it somewhere else?

Developer

Just copy paste the save folder from the www folder of the old build to the new build's www folder.

So whenever I get a new patreon build I have to start all over again or  can I just transfer the old save from the previous version to the new version saves ?

Developer

The patreon build is a build that's in development so there will be changes to the database (character balancing, new enemies, items etc.) so older saves won't 100% work on newer builds. I always make a pre-played save in each build to make it easier for my supporters to check out the new content. I know it sucks, but that's how game development with this engine works.

Would it be fixed soon

It cannot be fixed since that is how the engine works.

when i open the www folder i cant find the save file/folder to transfer, but rather things like: audio, characters, data, fonts, icon, img, js, index, pacjkage.jsn, and supertoolsengine and cant find it within those either so im confused as well

Developer

There is no save folder in build that you haven't started a save in. That's why you copy paste the whole save folder there.
