A lot of video memory has reported insufficient video memory!

TITAN X becomes unavailable for dain app.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

My pc:

win10 pro

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31290 @ 3.60GHz

RAM 8.0GB

NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X-------CUDA:v7.5------game ready:451.67

pytorch: not installed

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I came into contact with your great software very early, and it can be used very well in version 0.31 (the system was win7 at the time, this is the only difference, and later upgraded to 10, there were the following problems which made it unusable)

0.38 You can open the software, but when the rendering is at 0 progress, it reports that the video memory is insufficient, and xxx video memory is needed, but the free video memory is still above 9gb at this time

031 The problem is the same

0.39 The problem is the same
0.40 The problem is the same,Unable to open the software, exit instantly or no response

Hi Ixtch,

Well this is a strange one!

Have you tried running DainApp as Administrator?

The only other thing I can recommend is installing the latest Studio Driver (451.77 according to my research) rather than a Game Ready driver as Studio drivers are designed to maintain compatibility & stability rather than using cutting edge (& usually more buggy) changes.

Also, I would suggest installing it with the "Clean Previous Installations" option checked so the new Driver will remove previous drivers that may be having an unwanted impact on your current installation.

I'm afraid I can't offer any other recommendations, maybe someone else has an idea?

Theo

Thanks

I have two new questions 1 During the period from 0.31 to 0.38, did the requirements for the installation environment change significantly? (0.31 can be used after decompression) In other words, is it necessary to install pytorch manually? 2 Is the version difference of the windows system the cause? If so, which one is the most stable?

Hi ixtch,

i thought my error message was weird when i got a similar message.  I ended up checking task manager  and saw my gpu memory spike up and crash and get a similar message.  i tried a 1920x1080, had to either reduce it to 1280x720 or  split the frames into sections.  I am running a 2080ti with 11gb of vram.   so the error message to me is not showing the correct numbers.
