Hello! I just tried launching it on my Mac after updating to 10.15.6, and it works fine for me, so it's strange that nothing's working for you - what computer do you have, and how are you running it? Through itch, or from a direct download?

MacBook pro 16‘ 2019

Thanks for the info.

How are you running MasterPlan? Through itch?

EDIT: Also, do you get any error messages from the operating system, or does it simply not open?

Can you post the results of the "log.txt" file in the MasterPlan directory?

I've downloaded the latest version from itch, I opened it and it jumped right off, plus I couldn't find the log file

Also I keep getting prompted that the downloaded zip is corrupted, but it can be unzipped!

Not sure what you mean by "jumped right off", but it sounds like the application isn't loading because the download isn't completing properly. That might be why you're being prompted that the downloaded zip file's corrupt - despite the fact that you can unzip it, the files within might be incomplete. I think it might be an issue with your internet or with itch's servers that aren't properly serving the download for you.

Try restarting your computer and router / modem, and then try downloading it again directly from the itch page in a web browser and seeing if it completes the download properly like that; if it doesn't, then try installing again through the itch app itself.

works through itch! but not web browser

Forgot to reply to this; if this is the case, I'd imagine it's an issue with your internet or browser. Try a different browser, because the itch app (as far as I know) downloads apps from the same source as the browser (i.e. there's no difference in files when downloading through the itch app vs browser). Basically, I don't think I have any control over this particular behavior from my end.

Hi!  Just wanted to add to this, I am running macOS Catalina 10.15.7 and I also could not get it to run if I downloaded the mac zip and tried to run it through finder.  After double-clicking, the icon would animate and act like it opens but nothing would happen.  Can't find a log.txt file anywhere either.

However, if I download and run through the Itch App, it works great!  Not sure what's going on there.  If there's any other info I can give to help solve this let me know!

Here's a bit more about my compy:

Model Name:    MacBook Pro
Model Identifier:    MacBookPro11,5
Processor Name:    Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Processor Speed:    2.5 GHz

I also can't launch MasterPlan:

  System Version: macOS 10.15.7 (19H15)
  Model Name: MacBook Air
  Model Identifier: MacBookAir8,1
Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Core i5
  Processor Speed: 1.6 GHz
