Faster rendering?

How do I make this software work faster? More VRAM? Better CPU? What exactly will make this software faster?

A better graphic card mostly. We are making a update to do Batch rendering, that should speed up the render time.

Batch rendering? How will it speed up render time. Oh and what does the "it" stand for in "it/sec"

iirc it should be abbreviation of iteration, which is "the repetition of a process in order to generate an outcome", Wikipedia

i have an nvidia gtx 1660 super with updated drivers. not sure if it's just me, but it doesn't appear that the gpu is being used much at all while rendering.  it appears to use video memory, but that's about it.  it takes about 40 mins to render a small file.  is this normal?

after doing more research, found that task manager doesn't accurately represent GPU processing. instead used HWiNFO64 and saw that GPU core load was maxing at 100%, power draw was higher, and temperature was up.

Windows does show the GPU usage if you are using it correctly. Open task manager, go to performance then GPU 1 and click the down-arrow beside Copy. Then select CUDA and now you will see your GPU is actually working.

oh wow. this helps tremendously. now i see it. thanks for the tip (and a wonderful program) !
