The combat feels almost good but the reliance on a near-nonrenewable resource with heavy resource costs feels horrible, and it doesn't even replenish after you die in two hits from anything leaving you even worse off the second time as you lost resources while the boss fully restores. Blocking feels horrible and doesn't work 80% of the time.
When you get knocked down which happens a LOT it takes half an hour to stand up.
It feels like the only thing you can do is button mash M1 to swing your sword. Allegedly there are heavy and special attacks but special attack never seems to do anything and heavy attack feels pointless, assuming it even works.
The damn dash-dodge randomly friggin decides not to work with no apparent tie to stamina or resource costs.
The demon character does jack shit, to the point I can only assume she's meant to be helpful. She just stands in the hallway swinging at nothing and then standing in the indentation in the wall doing nothing for a while but sometimes follows me into the boss arena, where she does nothing but stand around occasionally moving. Bossdog only once in a blue moon decides to charge with no apparent way to force it / trigger it manually, so you just awkwardly play dance around the pillars for an eternity before it next decides to do it. And even then the pillars don't seem to respawn (though one awkwardly seemed to try, leaving a blurred visual effect but when it charges it just passes through or slips around it), meanwhile its health resets...
It's an incredibly frustrating experience with nothing satisfying to write home about, for the lackluster combat mechanics forced on us. Visually it's solid. Animations aren't bad, though there's some clunky initiation and exit/stop phases. Activation / Interaction with things is awkward but fine.
As for any adult qualities there's nothing adult about the game so far except the ability to take your clothes off and awkward barely lewd animations with an awkward minigame with the demon.
I can only imagine there's supposed to be more after the boss dog thing, but there is no way to get past the asshole with this jank combat and dying in 2 hits when the dodge randomly decides not to function and block feels unusable, meanwhile it takes a thousand hits to kill because this vampire lady hits like a child with a foam sword and is about as agile/evasive to boot.
Wearing better armors has next to no apparent effect on the damage you take, you still die in 2 hits whether your naked or in the best stuff you were able to find.

To be more constructive, there really needs to be more impact to things while the blood drain needs to chill tf out, it drains way to fast while not being nearly as effective as you'd think it should be. You need to be dealing twice to three times the damage we currently do while taking half or more the damage we do right now. Whatever is going on with dodge and block needs to be addressed, there's no feedback or visible reason why the dodge randomly decides not to work, and the block mechanic sounds like it's attempting to be something like Chivalry, For Honor, or those types of games with directional blocks but there's no way to infer what it's actually wanting you to do or what you're supposed to do about it, whereas those games usually visually show you the block direction and clearly project the direction it should be in.
Some better visual and audio cues that you're doing a heavy or special attack seems like that also needs to be in order.
Just, all around things need to have more effect and the vampire shouldn't be so damn weak. Her arrogance is pathetic when she's so damn fragile and incompetent.
Now time to go bash my head against a brick wall some more until I give up and have to try a different game out...
Edit:
I was able to bash my head against the wall against summoned hound enemies enough using Cheat Engine each time to mess with Experience until I could get enough attribute points to target and then manipulate that, in order to not be so weak. So, there we go, there's one way to get past the boss...... Then of course it has to be daylight and you take high damage over time with no way to replenish health in sight. Even though she seems unphased and unbothered by the sun in cutscenes.
