Please let me filter what's shown in My Feed

I follow a lot of artists, not game developers, so my tastes in games are completely different than the people I follow.  Not only am I very not interested in the things they like, since I can't handle horror sometimes I find what they follow disturbing, even from the thumbnail.   I really would like a way to filter what's shown in my feed so I only see their new projects and project updates.

I'd like to be able to filter out what's in my feed, too. I get a lot of notifications that I don't care about, mostly from those I follow rating random stuff , and would like to be able to filter them out completely. I know we can already select what's shown when we access our feeds, but that doesn't prevent unwanted notifications from appearing, and you have to manually select what you want to see each and every time. It's tedious.

I don't want to be notified of one person rating a bunch of different things. I don't care. Like Sharm, I just want to be notified of new projects and updates.

I follow most of the RPG Maker resource creators and I do not read most of the feed. You can select Filter of Everything, New projects, Collections, Devlogs, Ratings, and My own activity in the feed tab on top of the screen.

It's nice that we can filter that part, but I'd still like a way to change what I actually get from the beginning.  I get notifications for around 20 things a day, but unless I go through each of those 20 things on the everything list it can be hard to figure out what is actually new and find out the things I actually want to get notified about.  I mean, new projects are obvious, but I want to know about project updates too, and it's easy to lose track if I'd seen a project update before or not without the notifications telling me it's actually new.

I am not experienced with the frequency or relevance non-game developers/other artists use Devlogs, but like Kupotepo already pointed out I would expect the “New projects” and “Devlogs” tabs to do what you originally asked for.

When you say you get notifications, did you mean emails? Because you can disable those under “Account settings” -> “Email notifications”.

Other than that, you can click the little “Like event” button in the right upper corner of an announcement you liked. Or simply mark everything you’ve read in order to organize yourself. We won’t judge you… openly. ;)

I hope any of this was of help to you.

No, the notifications I'm talking about the one next to my avatar on the top right.  The tabs are closer than nothing to what I'm looking for, but since going to the feed automatically sends you to the everything tab every time and since I can't turn the ratings or collections, it's not actually what I am asking for at all.  To be honest, because it spam notifies everyone who follows me, I've been avoiding rating anything.

[…] and since I can’t turn the ratings or collections, it’s not actually what I am asking for at all […]

But you can use the “New projects” and “Devlogs” tabs to filter. While it’s maybe not exactly what you’ve been asking for, from what I’m able to understand from your post, it seems like it is just two additional clicks away from what you asked for - or 1 additional click if you use bookmarks. That way you also wouldn’t have to look at any disturbing cover images.

I’m also not getting (let’s call them) bell notifications for anything that ends up in my feed, so there must be a way to enable and disable them in the settings.
