Dev Log 3 - Scheduling My Work

For this year, I want to do better in scheduling my work. Last year, I was completely disorganized and I was rushing deliverables till the last minute which resulted in something that I didn't put much thought into. This year I want to utilize my planner more when it comes to different tasks and I want to create goals for myself to achieve. I always have my planner with me that is filled with the due dates for assignments for each class. I always work on major projects that take a lot of time before I tackle the smaller ones that take an hour or so. The best feeling is crossing out whatever assignment I finished and then moving on to another one, but just knowing that I completed something gives me the motivation to keep going.

I feel the start of this as well. I have a very bad habit of letting things sit until last minute, which comes back to bite me later. Additionally, I feel like a lot the quality of my work dropped due to this as well, which is generally a bad thing. I usually attempt to make myself work in smaller portions at a time and set my own due dates before official due dates. Trying to utilize planners and organize your tasks is a very good start to breaking out of any disorganized habits! I'm glad it's been working for you and you can get a lot of satisfaction from it, maybe I should try it out too!

I 100% agree, the best feeling ever is getting your work crossed off and having a blank slate in your calendar. When I plan out my schedules I tend to include commitments outside of just schoolwork, I'm curious if you do the same. Also I do like the tactile aspect of a physical calendar which I think you use. I've always been envious of peoples work planners because they always look so neat and orderly, but it's never worked for me personally.
