Dev Log 3 - Scheduling My Work

Hey!

Weclome to my third Devlog. As we approach the end of the first semester of the third year, it’s beginning to reach the point in our project where we need to do the dreaded thing, “Scheduling.” I know, everyone’s greatest fear. My team working on Kaladax Farming Protocol has decided to meet every Tuesday at 4 PM and Friday around lunch. We find that this works for our team because it guarantees the highest attendance rate for all members, I think that it improves overall accountability and makes sure that none of us misses any tasks!

Earlier this week I unfortunately missed a last-minute scheduled meeting because someone had thrown it in the chat, and when our team was slinging dates and times around, my brain got a little rattled. Luckily after some confusion and communication, our team decided to finally start utilizing announcements, to make sure there are no longer complaints or confusion when it comes to meetups. I’m still going to start scheduling things in my calendar from now on. :)

Hello Ashton,

I understand how you feel. Time management/scheduling has always been a nightmare for me and it still is.  I fall behind on numerous tasks and I barely leave myself any time to finish them. But aside from that, it's great to hear that you have in-person meetings every now and then. This always helps in getting tasks done quicker and provides better communication with your teammates, than you would when working remotely. I agree that sometimes tasks can get out of hand with people falling behind on other things. My team isn't always on campus so 90% of the time we don't do in-person meetings, we mostly spend doing everything in a discord call, which really doesn't help since making progress this way feels a bit slow and we're not communicating a lot.
