A good start! I think it would definitely benefit from a goal or objective of some kind, even if it was just something simple like how much wood you can chop in 60 seconds etc.

At this stage it's too early to tell whether it's worth investing more time into it. It also really depends on what you want to achieve from the project.

Thank you for the feedback! I got stuck trying to make an inventory system, but the main idea for the game is a wave base survival game.

I like the idea of a procedurally generated forest. Control is smooth enough.

There is still a lot to be done: Defining the purpose of the game; incorporating some challenge; setting the win and lose conditions; adding audio. At this early stage in development, it is difficult to get a feel for your vision in creating the game.

Also, I would recommend either putting more effort into the graphics, or using premade assets (there are many available). Good luck!

Thanks! I will try making better graphics.

Should I go all out on this game?

Submitted(+1)

That depends on whether you have a grander vision for it! If you do, you can follow that vision and see where it leads you. If you're not feeling inspired, work on another project. :)

Ok! I think I might go all out.

There's still a lot to do here, try to finish it until it's something you are proud of, go crazy, experiment with it. You don't need no one to tell you if the game is worth finishing, do what you think it's best ;) keep it up!

Developer

Yeah, I got really frustrated when trying to make an inv system (I am still very confused). I will still work on the game, but I was and am stuck. Thanks for the feedback! I will experiment a ton.

Good! That's how you learn. There's plenty of tutorials out there for whatever you are trying to do. Good luck!

Thank you!

It's not really a game.

But anyway, apart from that there are different problematics:

1- There is no music!

2- The camera is too magnified, i cant see much.

3- You say there is procedural generation, but out of the spawn area there are no flowers, lakes or trees.

I think this could be a good base for something more complex, but at this state doesn't feel like much.

Developer

Yeah, I got stuck trying to make an inv system. I will definitely make it better and make the camera bigger. (BTW go into full-screen bc the cam will get bigger in full-screen atm). I should have changed the screen size. Also, I have no idea how to make music... Thanks for the feedback! I will work more on the game.

WASD to move, press f to chop down trees. I need to add a day/night cycle and enemies. Currently, there is only procedural generation and chopping down trees.
