This is a pretty neat autumn/halloween game! The style of speech used in the dialog definitely reminds me of the tale of Sleepy Hollow. I'm not sure if it's what you were going for, but the night time music also reminded me of something Danny Elfman would compose for Tim Burton, which is quite fitting for this game. The only qualms I had was it seemed the day/night cycle went a little too fast. Otherwise nice job!

Yes, I borrowed a lot of the phraseology from Washington Irving (mainly from Sleepy Hollow, but also in some cases from Rip Van Winkle).

The music is the only part of the game I didn't create myself; it's from The Ultimate Game Music Collection. But yeah, that's the effect I was going for.

Very cool entry. Great art style. Loaded with quests and content. All the characters, have their own distinct look, and feel.

What a beautiful little world you built here. The town has a lot of character, you can tell there's thought put into every detail. Loved how everyone here has their own personality and i thought the rooster and wolf sound effects were SO funny. I would've liked the day/night cycle to take a little longer, it seemed like i could only visit and talk to one person at a time. Overall a great entry, I hope you get a little more recognition, great job!

Oh, and one more thing I wanted to add--I recorded the rooster and wolf sound effects myself. I had to do a few takes. My mother thought I was losing my mind. :)

the first few times I didn't notice but I was like "that sounds odd" then, when I noticed it was a human voice, it made me giggle every time! It's actually really cute and gives it a lot of warmth and a handcrafted feel, really cool.

Hey, this was a game of impressive scale for a jam! Loved how the theme isn't just stamped over a game, but rather fully built on it. Had some problems with UI elements, as they didn't quite match the screenshots, but all in all a playable and spectacular looking jam game!

As to the issue with the UI elements: I know this is an issue when playing in a small window, but *should* go away if you try fullscreen mode. I hope that helps.

High marks for this here, piece! Loved the dialogue - I appreciate a game that makes me look up words! I can tell you put a lot of time into this, it's an impressive amount of work to get done in three weeks. Well done! :)

I liked the writing and the character designs, it's a cool little world. I wish the days and nights were a little longer, though. It felt like it was always night by the time I got a little exploring done.

The issue with the days and nights is a tricky one. I didn't want the nights to be too long, because it was getting a bit frustrating waiting around for villagers to wake up. But thematically, I felt that the days shouldn't be noticeably longer than the nights (since it's autumn).
Meanwhile, for calculating game time purposes, a cycle that is exactly divisible by 60 is particularly convenient. So currently, we have 25 seconds for day, 5 seconds for dusk, 25 seconds for night, and 5 seconds for dawn. I could try doubling all that, but I hesitate to depart from this general model.
