Am I still considered a beginner?

Planning to put the beginner tag when I submit the game. Am I still considered a beginner developer if I have experience in 2D art in game jams but NOT in other aspects like coding? Planning to go solo and this will be my first time developing a game on my own. If in game dev, I'm a beginner but in 2D art I'm not. Someone told me in discord that my itch profile shouldn't have any games on it to become a beginner. Is it true? I don't see it being a rule when I saw the game jam announcement or I just didn't read it properly enough.

"- In the description, don't forget to use tag #beginner whether you're a beginner or not this allows you to participate in the beginners best catagory.(rules)" <falseWhoever told you that made it up<false>, so you're good. Also, even if it was true ^ this pretty much just says it doesn't matter.

It's not made up, it's on the official jam discord.

They should really update the jam page with that information.

My bad, though my point is still valid.
