On Pixel Art Assets

Hello, just wanted to ask a few things before the jam starts, I'd really appreciate if anyone with answers can reply to this post, thank you!

What kind of pixel art assets will there be on the Zombeez graphics package, what I'm asking is if it'll be assets meant for a sidescroller like the ones showcased on the jam page, or for a top-down game.

Another minor question, are we allowed to use other art assets? Our own or otherwise.

Aaand one final question, do we need to tick each and every core mechanic to be considered?

Hey there!

Great questions! I’m happy to help clarify things before the jam starts.

  1. Pixel Art Assets: The Zombeez graphics package will primarily feature assets meant for a sidescroller, similar to what’s showcased on the jam page. However, you're free to adapt them creatively to suit your game's style, whether sidescroller or top-down.
  2. Using Other Art Assets: Yes, you are allowed to use other art assets, including your own or third-party assets, as long as you have the rights to use them. We encourage creativity and making the game your own!
  3. Core Mechanics: You don’t need to tick each and every core mechanic to be considered. Focus on creating a fun and engaging game that you’re proud of. The core mechanics are there as guidelines, but your creativity and unique approach are what matter most.

Hope this helps! Looking forward to seeing what you create. Good luck and have fun!

Cheers!

Thanks for the clarification, much appreciated!
