I really enjoyed the landscape art and some of the sprite work!
As others have mentioned, I think a little music and sound effects would go a long way here.

Unfortunately, I can't make sounds specifically in the “bitsy HD” engine, and it proved to me to be less functional than the original engine :(
But for the experiment I decided to finish the game in HD version
