I couldn't get beyond the numbers in the beginning. Not sure if it is a browser issue. [UPDATE] This undoubtedly will be my most thorough review of any game in this jam. After getting direct a tip on where the instructions are located I was able to get to the meat of the game and experience gameplay firsthand. One way to tell if the design works is a player can just pickup a game and start playing. Luckily, for those in need, detailed instructions are available in a help menu. Using the right mouse button is an interesting choice for such a special action. I always wonder about that because for mouse controls the left mouse button gets all the attention. First of all, this game is incredibly challenging. I mean difficultly is high. Graphics are very GameBoy-esque, however it's unclear whether the gradually inverting color effect is functional or a purely stylistic decision. Does such a smooth fade effect qualify as 1-bit? Double jump to add more varied control in movement is very popular for platforming games these days. But after seeing double jumps in game after game in this jam I couldn't help but wonder if there is another option. When doing the dash motion it makes me feel like I'm Sonic for a half-second and then I hit a spike and die. I'm not quite sure what the glowing player is but for this type of game it doesn't matter. There is potential in this game yet and I would love to see it continue to develop.
