Amaryllis Estella Gunn and Gil Lazarus Crabb are the last of their family line. Enemies from childhood, these two cousins have always tried to be the first to unravel the secrets of their family's past. When Gil came across an old book, written by their ancestor, Alban Samuel Gunn in the attic, he couldn't wait to rub Estella's nose in it . He clearly forgot that Estella is a tomboy and during their scuffle, Estella took possession of the book and Gil ... well ... he got a bloody nose.

Reading the book, Estella discovers her family disowned anyone using magic in the past. Alban Samuel Gunn and anyone like minded separated themselves from the rest of the world and they created the machine city, Darkstein. Ironically, the only way anyone could reach this place was through a magical portal. After establishing himself as the Mayor of Darkstein, Alban Samuel Gunn destroyed the portal, claiming they don't need the outside world.

Turning the page to read the rest of Alban Samuel Gunn's words, Estella finds the pages empty. Rumbling through the rest of the book in frustration, Estella cuts her finger on the paper and a minute bit of blood smears on the book, turning it suddenly into a living thing that swallows Estella whole.

And that folks, is the beginning of my adventure game. You can guess where Estella ended up, Darkstein.

Looks like you're off to a great start. If you're a youtuber, then I would love to see some videos of your asset creation process. I'm more of a developer than an artist, and the graphical composition is always the hard part for me.

All of the game assets are bought or for free on the unity asset store. The only thing I can maybe boast about is how to put them together to make it look good in the game or take an existing demo scene and improve and build on it.

MACHINE CITY, DARKSTEIN

"Darkstein was the beacon to many people of a new beginning without magic."

I need to say thank you to the artist, IL.ranch for his wonderful asset, Steam City - steampunk. I bought it last year, but never used it, waiting for the right time.

I am using the city as is, with my own added fixes to change it into the dark, mysterious machine city, Darkstein.

PROGRESS:

= The city level is about 70% completed.

= Completed a working loading screen. The image depicts the portal to the different puzzle rooms.

MEETING OUR CHARACTERS ...

"Even a 'society of-one-mind' can hide people with hidden agendas and traitorous intent."

Our intro scene starts of with two characters having a conversation mere hours before the end. Clues are given to the state of Darkstein and how some of the citizens are escaping.

LET'S MEET SOME CHARACTERS:

= Amaryllis Estella Gunn, our main character who gets sucked into a book (magical teleporter, activated by her blood) and teleported to the machine city, Darkstein.
