enjoyed this game! reminds me of some of those old-school games where players controlled missiles in real-time, but ShootScoot game makes it fun with time-dilation.
I love this game. It is simple and fun to play. I especially like the funny and super friendly graphics. It really great to see some textures and 3D-models there is not from the marketplace. This really gives the game some personality.
I see that the shooting mechanic reminded other players of all kind of games, and for me it reminded me on one of the first games I made for a epic game jam. The game I called "The Bullet Pilot", and if you like to see how bad this kind game can be made, you can find the game here.
Thanks man! Super nice of you to say, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :) I'm lookin at this Bullet pilot and I LOVE the model for the assistant, it's genuinely super fun to look at, reminds me of Katamari. I will have to give it a go :)
Very nice game, maybe the fact that you can pick up bullets that you already shot makes the game a bit too easy. But controling the bullet feels really good!
Yeah I had a hard time balancing the amount of bullets to give the player/ didn't create any sort of health/death system so it came out a pretty casual experience. I think if I had more time, I'd make some sort of system that spawns an adaptive ammount of bullets based on the player's skill level. It'd be interesting to see what this would be like if it tested the player's skill a bit more for sure!
graphics are dope
Thanks! :) I'm more of an art person than a programmer for sure
Great game! Reminded me S.C.A.R.A.B. that has similar control of the projectile (I think it was the first one that has it).
Thanks! :) I haven't heard of that one but I love a good 90's PC shooter and it looks very up my alley
Great job Jonny! I had a lot of fun playing this and the time really flew by. I would love to see it with different levels and more monsters in the future if you continue developing this idea!
Thanks Devon, I'm glad you liked it! :) Not sure if I'll revisit this idea yet, but I did have a handful of ideas I didn't get to implement during the jam so there's for sure room to expand.
It reminds me of the Batarang mechanic in Batman Arkan Series. Nice work.
Thanks! I appreciate it :)
