The art in the game is actually quite impressive, visual and music wise! But there are also some amount of things that needed to be worked on I think?

The good:

As mentioned, the music is quite nice. Despite being a game largely about being in the dark, the music offers it a calming ambience that I think would work well if the overall game direction was designed to optimise it.

The glowing mushrooms and vines are a great touch in giving the space much needed colour especially since there is a low of black and brown in the game.

In fact, the entire cave system was quite well done overall in giving a great physical space to fly through, and I do mean this.

To improve:

Probably one of the biggest glaring points I'd say is the lack of a clear goal.

While it does seem to imply that it is a highscore chaser, the lack of a challenge such as a time limit, or anything that kills the player, does not work to that design. If you could theoretically get score as long as you want, then there is no highscore to chase after. The only skills that are being tested is endurance, not interesting skills such as mechanical mastery.

There were also redundant features in the game that I felt was unnecesary and do not add to the gameplay such as the echolocation and the speed boost. If there were butterflies that would fly away quickly unless you used to boost to chase them down, that would already add some incentive to use the boost which I think would liven up the moment-to-moment gameplay.

Nevertheless, the lack of a goal is probably the first thing to tackle in the game. But I hope this does not demotivate you too much. The art presented here IS good - and this is not sugarcoating on top or whatever. Good art can support good gameplay. Working on the gameplay is simply the next thing to do now.

Great potential!

The game is calming, I like that has the ability of a "always runner". Low-poli are great!
