Ah the classic visual novel, interesting concept! The dialogue was well written, I like how each playthrough you are given different prompts, and the overall creepy yet light-hearted vibe of the story. VN's aren't my preferred genre so I won't let that influence my opinion, but I definitely think having some sort of menu or indicator that tracks the different endings you obtain would help to know that you're making "progress" in a matter of words. Maybe tiny hints as well to lead you to the other endings? I'm not sure how many there are but given the amount of things you can purchase from the restaurant it seems like a lot! Those were only minor critiques however, this is a good package altogether!
This was really interesting! I liked the art style, and the surrealness of the options and scenarios was very cool. Good job with the different branching paths and things. I also liked that there were so many things going on that it incentivizes the player to come back and try to explore different routes.
Love the charm in this game! So surreal and I had no idea what was going on, but I liked the tone in which the dialogue was written so it made it enjoyable. This could get pretty political if you really tried to analyze it, lol. It tickled me that you couldn't get the soda the first drive around, which immediately set the tone of the game, and everything else was just icing on the cake. I don't think I got as many endings as Asimile, but since each playthrough was so short, it was easy to try to go through different endings, and you can never really guess what's going to happen next. I think this type of game wouldn't be for everyone, since the payoff is entirely in the perceived humor and receptiveness to the narrative, but for those who do enjoy it, it's a very unique experience that they don't often get, so it would be cool to continue making games like this I think.
Super funny game, I tried to get as many endings as I could! I got the fries, soda, and stir fries and left, I doomed the entire boiled burger staff to eternal torment, and I ordered way more than I could pay for. While I was making the rounds, I think the customer revolt and the curse had some odd interactions, cause there were about 4 orders where the amount of employees didn't decrease. It fixed itself eventually though, so no biggie. I went home with a super cool sword, hope my partner wants to eat it
Very interesting concept! I know games in renpy can be difficult so props to you for being able to make it work!
