Unique idea ... I liked the fairies ... Nice implement of theme . Keep it up :)

I like the integration of the 'illusion' theme, the fact that some bullets are fake and just a distraction is quite a good idea. It has relatively smooth movement except it seems a bit laggy, though I don't know if it's just my laptop. It seems to work better when it isn't in fullscreen. Maybe you could add a way to aim rather than just shooting forwards, only saying because sometimes the fairies go to the bottom left/right and it's hard to hit them while also trying to dodge their bullets. At some point, I got an error pop-up. I'm not sure what caused it but the game stopped, and a message appeared saying "Runtime error: null function or function signature mismatch". I hope that helps. Final thing, adding SFX or some background music might make it more interesting, seemed like it was missing something. It's a good game idea, just needs a few tweaks before it's done :)

Thanks for playing my game Toasty~

I really enjoyed playing yours and I'm glad you told me about those issues since you gave really good feedback. It's very strange that the game seems to work better for you outside of fullscreen so I'm definitely going to need to look into that. I am also going to try and fix that bug that caused you to crash. I'm really sorry that happened to you and I will try to reproduce it on my end and get it fixed as soon as possible.

As for why there is no sfx it was mainly that I just didn't have time~ I am interested in continuing this project, not sure how far I will take it I'm not satisfied with the way it is right now so I appreciate feedback very much, thank you~

I like the idea of letting the player aim their bullets so I'll play around with that after fixing the problems you mentioned, thank you for the suggestion~

Nice game! I simply must ask, have you heard about Touhou Project before?

Developer

Hi OmegaDiamondX, Thanks for trying out my game~ To answer your question~ Yes! I have heard of the Touhou project.

My main source inspiration was Ikaruga's polarity system with my other inspirations being "Dodonpachi", "Just Shapes & Beats" and "Touhou", mainly for screen the layout, the idea to have fairies trap the player in a forest came from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's dream". I Played through Final Fantasy XIV's Shadowbringers expansion recently so when the theme "Illusion" was announced that play was one of the first things that came to my mind ~

sorry for using your comment as a place to discuss my interests~ I should probably find a way to fit my inspirations into my page's description
