Well done on this game! I felt it like a recreation of the real life Pocket Racing which I really enjoyed! Music vibe and aesthetics were on point and certainly matches with the theme! I did find using the mouse to steer awkward to use on the tight turns, as with one stroke was not able to properly turn that tightly. I would recommend adding in a Mouse sensitivity option slider for users to tune to their mice/controllers.
I also have some suggestions for a post game jam patch should you be interested;
1) Add in a lap time tracker and lap timer; This is to ensure the player would still feel motivated to strive going faster with a reason to go for risky/ballsy gameplay. Since turning with a dead slow speed was always an option, I was striving for that more for that action as did not have a reason to actually test/challenge myself
1.5) With the addition of the lap times; You can easily add in some challenges for the player to try and achieve.
2) Modifications for slow down/minimum speed on lap increases; This is actually building on another suggestion by another reviewer; Whilst on lap increments, the max speed increases, you should also increase the minimum speed; Meaning a dead slow stop would not be able to be achieved; requiring more precision and learning how to properly turn and navigate the car.
3) Pick ups, Power ups and/or obstacles; Just to add some variety and interactivity for the game mode to be different.

Cool idea! Moving the car with the mouse feels a bit awkward for me, but I guess that’s part of the challenge. I think the game might be more fun and challenging if the car moved on its own and the road had obstacles that changed places each lap. I didn’t experience any lag problems like other reviewers (and my PC isn’t that good). I wonder if the reason was something else.
Overall, good!
Quite an interesting and slightly difficult game. I really liked the game style and the time of day system. It’s a pity that on rather weak PCs it works at 5 fps.
Very nice concept. Its quite interesting to see that the steering is with mouse :D
Only thing i noticed, its kinda hard to get off the track sometimes xd
But overall a pretty nice game you made!
