Game looks very nice. Only 2 colors but those are everything :D

Restart deletes the entire level and I lost all my progress. The dark souls of line drawing games?

fun & love the asthetics, a little buggy and reset is broken for me

I like the pen indicator of the ink running out. The unicorn is is a nice touch, but the ball spawning without any effects from it's rainbow looks a bit off. Maybe a mario style pipe with a unicorn sticker on it would do the trick.

I love:

  • the name
  • the assets (the unicorn omg <3)
  • how different colors have different properties (a lot of potential on this one, imagine e.g. sticky - can roll on vertically or upside-down, glass/viscous slows down bullet but doesn't stop it, ....)
  • the level design slowly introducing how to solve different levels
  •  the "history of last delted stroke" (there could be even more of them in different intensities)
  • the cute 2D in 3D inclusion
  • very accessible controls with keyboard

Some things felt a bit rough around the edges (e.g. post its could be removed after the first level to not clutter the canvas, camera could be zommed out a bit, particle effects on drawing could be smaller, so I can see what I am drawing - or was hiding that intended?, physics behave differently in subsequent runs, and of course one or the other bug, not being able to restart properly is particularly annoying), but I like this entry a lot and it also reminds me a lot of the old "Line Rider", good times! :D

sticky line was one of the original planned features. We also envisioned a "speed up splat" where you could place a colored splat zone that would boost your ball. More features that didn't make it are magnetic (attracting and repelling) obstacles, areas that color the ball to allow passage through certain areas, slow down zones, and "no paint zones" where it's not allowed to draw anything. Wanted to use that mostly around the goal, and maybe to prevent avoiding intended challenges. Unfortunately these features didn't make it in time.

those sound like awesome ideas! No wonder you had no time to implement them all. I definitely sense designer-potential there ;)
