A 2D platformer made with RPG Maker? It's definitely an unusual idea. It worked OK until I got stuck in a place that resembled the title screen. I loved the music and it controlled surprisingly well - I'm glad you didn't try to incorporate precision jumping mechanics. The most noteworthy part of the experience is how you doled out the controls and objectives in an intuitive manner - this is the way to do tutorials!

As I said earlier, I got stuck in an odd spot and didn't finish the game, but it's an interesting, if a bit overly ambitious, entry. I'd recommend sticking to other game engines that can do platforming better, though.

First RPGM Metroidvania I've played! I was pretty pumped to play, and my toddler child thought it was the funniest game of all time (especially the trippy fairy parts). I thought it was a great mix of exploration and challenge. Having enemies send you back is way less annoying that a  game over screen, but perhaps a few life hearts would have been good. It definitely didn't start looking like cosmic horror, but nothing like a few wall eyeballs to rectify that. Can't avoid mentioning the amazing soundtrack and graphics. It really took me back to NES times and gave me some welcome nostalgia.

I'm super sad to get stuck where others did, right when I was close to getting the game complete and figuring out what was behind the bizarre eyeballs. Also thinking that platforming that more or less jumps for you is not as good as having to get the distance right yourself. Seems like a limitation of the engine.

Regardless, I thought this was a blast and a well planned out and satisfying Metroidvania. I plan on finishing this post-jam for sure!

A neat side scrolling platformer-style game with cool custom art! The wall of eyes were definitely unnerving along with the creepy short events that trigger. I did get stuck after gaining the push block ability when climbing the blue room with the eye windows.

I tried this game out! And the retro art style and sprites has really captured nostalgia! The music and sound effects too! I think the graphics are really cute in this game and is also neatly made into a side-scroller game! I am quite intrigued about the story of Captain Buck and how he got to Planet Arkenshape, and it's a mystery so that'sa cool! :D I did find some tile issues along the way, which I'm sure people in discord have already pointed out for you to be able to fix 'em soon! ^^ The enemies hitting me in the cave teleporting me back to the start was also quite inconvenient, but it's pretty minor. Overall, I did enjoy the game and it's a breath of fresh air to be able to play a classic-styled game like this again! And Retro has nailed it!! :D Great job to the dev! <3
