A pseudo-3D fist-person walk where every step is... A polaroid photo? Yes!

Thank you Ludipe for hosting this  jam, great idea! We are working on a crazy concept that we hope to convert into a short playable thing: our personal way of being unproductive will consist in making a game that simulates a 3D first person view, but every frame of the game will be made from photos taken in real life with a digital polaroid, and  players will perceive it  as a seamless exploration in a three-dimensional virtual world (or, at least, we hope so)! will we ever manage to  make something like this? Stay tuned if you're intrigued, 'cause we're planning to use this thread to post updates, photos and other curious stuff from the creative process! And many, many thanks to everyone of you for your attention! <3

ok, we have finally found some time to work on the project, and this is the weird set we prepared  to create our stop-motion photographic fake-3d  FMV street/corridor:

we made a video in real life with a smartphone, then we decided to take many photos (~ 420 frames! sic!) from the video using a polaroid snap touch, and then we tried and found a way to upload the “screenshots” massively in the engine we are using [GDevelop] (more on this method later on another post maybe!). in our theory this will let us recreate the feeling of a first-person  exploration, starting from consecutive still images! stay tuned for news and thank you for your time <3
