What do you like about your game?
I enjoyed the challenge of working on a solo game jam! Its been great fun to try to do everything from scratch too. I know I could have used some free assets and I did for about 2 textures. But every other, model (excluding the "monster" which is an altered model from a stock free blender model), texture, programming, sound, and UI element was created entirely by myself on my own. I'm really proud of that.

it's a very cool concept. I would love to finish it, but I got stuck in a dark room and couldn't find that damn breakable wall again. In general if you are too close to the wall it just reinstates in a milisecond and you can't go through. I got stuck in the dark several times. Also that kind of whisper (the one with no vocal cords working at all, only sound of air and lips flapping) irritates the hell out of me, so I didn't listen to the story. I wish you could skip it, especially for second attempt playing. Other than that I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the visuals, the lighting. Only found 3/4 hearts and got sent to the initial room 2 times after approaching a door, that was no different from any other door, which confused me.

thanks for the feedback! All good points for me to keep in mind in the future. I think the whispering you’re talking about is the Latin coming from the hearts, if that’s not it let me know and I’ll see if there is another way I can fix that in the future.

Lighting could definitely use some work in hindsight. I keep my monitor very bright so I probably didn’t notice how dark some areas were at times. Also the wall glitch is something I found a solution for after the jam’s time was up unfortunately. The exit door is colored a dark red but maybe marking it white or giving and exit sign would make more sense.

Thanks again for your feedback and if you have any more feedback please let me know. It really helps me to improve 🙂

Yes, the hearts whisper. Feel free to disregard that. I know I am very sensitive to sound, not many people are. In fact, none of people I know share my frustrations about that type of whisper. So it is most lickely a non-issue for most gamers. But a great example of whisper that I like is Vampires the Masquerade-Bloodlines Malkavian whispers.

that is great feedback though! I’m sure you aren’t alone in those feelings. It’s probably very similar to people who dislike the sound of chewing. I always want any game I make to be as accessible to everyone as possible. So I’ll keep that in mind if I ever do a whispering kind of effect again.

If anyone sees a warning saying the page is in quarantine, its safe!

I think this is a pretty good horror game. I don't get why theres a mechanic to break walls, but I welcome it since it can block the enemies lol. The sounds are pretty good too, got me immersed a lot.

thanks for your feedback! I appreciate you checking out the game. I was definitely pressed on time and didn’t get to explain the wall mechanic fully unfortunately. I may update the game once the jam is over with to fix a few bugs and improve on some of the mechanics and story. If you have any other feedback I’d love to hear it. It really helps me to improve 🙂

Also if you want story details I can tell you. Not the most complex story though.
