Where's the line drawn with getting help from other people?

Things like using an engine other people made is fine, but having someone else program or do art for you is too far, so where is the line there? Can I get a friend to do something like voice acting?

you just aren't allowed to get help from other people I don't think it's that deep, it's not some line you are supposed to get as close as possible to, it is the spirit of the jam to make your game yourself. Using unity is not the same thing as having an artist work on your game lol

So I can use assets that others have made (Kenney assets, for example), but can't team up with an artist?

well... yeah. with an artist you can ask them to make pretty much any asset which goes against the jam's rules, but if you cannot make something yourself, you can use something already pre-made as long as it's foss and your entire game is not overusing it, so that your game isn't just an asset flip. it's different than having a team since with assets you can only choose whatever is available, but with a tea, you have much more power over your entire project. Also make sure to credit every asset that you may use! pretty much sure that will affect your game rating..... or not, its up to acerola honestly lmao

It's not currently required to list all the assets you use cause I didn't think of making it a requirement lol, but it'll probably be in the rules next time. I think it's pretty easy to tell though what is and isn't made by hand.

yeah these things are very different and not the same whatsoever

Also I'd still have preference for the person that makes their own ui assets instead of using kenney's, it's just allowed because that's what kenney's assets are made for.
