I don't know how to move around. I clicked all the buttons at the top of the screen and moved the little 5 square [x] that the hat is standing on but I can't figure out anything else on how to move around or do anything.
Did you try wasd, and the ARROW keys? And pressing ENTER afterwards?
Seems interesting but I think it's too inaccessible for this day and age. Also, it's really annoying having another tutorial pop up in between every action for the first 10 or so actions
A cute throwback to a classic adventure vibe. The controls were tough to get used to, but I did get used to them. I was surprised by the how much fun it was testing and comparing the various weapons and seeing how they could affect the map, even though there were only a few. I also liked that different areas of the map had their own quirks and design, making it feel more like a world with biomes than just a level.
The way the Fluffs moved meant it was possible to try to get away from them and have them move onto the same tile, quickly draining health, but once I realized I could still target them with the ranged weapons, that stopped being a problem. Plus, the health potion item seems to be infinite, and I never feared a Fluff again!
Thanks for the feedback, it's really nice to hear that people liked it!
The controls were really tough to figure out, even with the little tutorialization bit! Man, number + enter + shift-enter is a really complicated sequence to do an attack. But I'm glad I took the time to learn them, because I really enjoyed wandering around the map and exploring. I thought the map was well-designed and implemented, and I was excited to pick up new awesome weapons.
If you added a boss fight after the jam, I would totally enjoy that so I could really get a chance to make the most of my cool weapons!
Thanks for the feedback! The sequencing part is a really good point, a menu for setting key binds would be a good fix. Having a boss fight is something I never thought about, thanks!
How do I pick up a brain? I'm standing next to one but none of the controls seem to do anything.
Press 1, then ENTER, then SHIFT+ENTER
Thanks!
Is there a manual or instructions? I don't get anything :-)
Sorry, forgot about that. Give me a sec.
