Small questions

Hi, just signed up to the jam and love the concept, but I have a few questions. First, do we only get 1 asset or is it a set with which to make our game? In case it’s the first, can we then make extra assets ourselves or can we only use the given ones? Lastly do we or can we know if the assets are 2D or 3D?

Thanks so much, hope my questions aren’t too dumb

It confuses me too. The Rules say "Utilize only the provided art asset for your creations." which is notably in singular, like, one asset. Maybe it is one tile-set? idk.

Anyways, I am pretty positive the assets are gonna be 2D, because I looked on the profile of the host, and it seems like they are a pixel-artist.

According to the rules you should utilize only the provided assets. Obviously you can shade and manipulate them from code any way you like but you should not add or edit the asset.

And the asset to use is Kenney's 1-BIT Pack. See this post https://itch.io/jam/asset-jam-2024-by-pixigb/topic/3658445/pack-for-jam

Also, while the asset pack is 2D, you can definitely make a 3D game. Think old Doom :). Have fun!
