Another update: Windows binaries now work!!! Before somehow the Windows download got overwritten by the Mac download :-( If it didn't work for you, please give it another try now. https://aigua1977.itch.io/onthecase-binaries
Nice!
thank you! :-)
UPDATE: you can now download Win, Mac, and Linux binaries from here: https://aigua1977.itch.io/onthecase-binaries
YOU DON'T NEED PYTHON OR PYGAME INSTALLED FOR THESE TO WORK (as opposed to the sources downloadable directly from here)
Is there any way you can play the game without pygame installed? I tried the link in your comment.
@SeanCreagh: yes, if you go to https://aigua1977.itch.io/onthecase-binaries you should be able to download standalone Windows, Mac, or Linux binaries and I have confirmed that at least Windows and Mac don't need Python or Pygame installed.
Are they not working for you? Which one?
The windows one. I mean maybe I'm missing something, but I've unzipped and searched the folder for a .exe, and I've browsed for anything I thought looked like an application file. Nothing coming up.
Oh my! Mac and windows downloads had the same name at some point, and the former over had overwritten the latter. It's fixed now. Please try again, and apologies for the issue!
Thanks for fixing it! Issues are part of the jam process, I'm learning. I certainly had a few to overcome myself. I'll definitely give yours another try.
If you have the chance to give mine a look, that would obviously also be awesome. if you haven't already :)
Done, and thank you so much for telling me that the Windows version was broken!
All good. Hopefully it'll help others to play too. :)
Thanks god i had pygame installed. This game is really nice and the art really complements and fits the theme!!!! :D
I couldn't find a .exe file? which means it might be reliant on the user having pygame installed. Luckily I did but I don't think you should rely on that.
I figured out who the killer was I think but I had no idea where to go from there. The cars seemed uneccessary and really annoying because you can't walk on the sidewalk in some spots (or the cars still hit you on the sidewalk) and sometimes when I was trying to go to a new area a car would spawn right ontop of me as I was trying to leave (or I would spawn right ontop of a car as I entered). The story is cool, the graphics are cute overall 7/10
I love this game its great
