I see what the idea behind this game was. The concept of a skill matching an issue is interesting. My humble advice here is that you need to think about challenge when you work on this kind of game. For instance here, removing cooldown on cards and making waves of different problems would have make the game more fast-paced and fun.

Good overall work though! Keep it up!

The concept is nice! I don't know what you planned for this game, but it have potential! I think it only needs to scale up the difficulty, this game was pretty easy. I had to stop thanks to a bug were the card got stuck in the enemy, but you said in the comments you knew about this.
Congrats on your entry! ^^

Cool idea, could use some more polish in places but I see you've mentioned in the comments that you ran out of time before you were able to add everything you wanted to. Well done on finishing in any case, this is a solid framework!

Developer

thanks, hope to continue with it

Gameplay is a bit boring but the graphics are great and the idea is definitely worth expanding upon. Game quite desperately needs some kind of danger besides picking the wrong card (which doesn't really happen)

Developer

thanks for playing, had more plans but ran out of time.

Played on mobile and got a major bug where the cards will hover over the enimy, aking them unusable. I do like the idea, the graphics are simple, defently a cool concept.

Developer

I know about that bug. I couldn't fix it in time. You have to press the back button to get back to the main menu :(

Really interesting way of mixing game development mechanics with combat!

Developer

Thanks

The combat system works, it successfully converts game design into a rpg or a card game style combat. It lacks a little polish but it is to be expected from a game jam game. :) I tried to apply the card to myself instead of the enemy to see what happens, felt that could be a mechanic in this sort of game. ^^

I was supposed to add a card for the player but I ran out of time

The art of this game is pretty good....

thanks, wanted to keep it simple

Fun but very similar combat.

Developer

thanks, isn't really the finished project I'd hoped. Ran out if time for animations etc. Thanks for playing though
