This was so full of content. Cutscenes, different game mechanics, sounds, animations, voice over. I really loved the variety. Some games worked better than others indeed. I had a hard time figuring out what to do in the music game, and it felt way too "hard" to get all the notes, so in the end i felt it was mostly just random pressing of keys hoping to remove the boss barrier.

Loved the variety here, as well as the story of course! I think some of the mechanics/scenes worked better than others (the music/shooting on was probably the weakest, in my opinion), but overall this was just a really solid experience. Great job!
This game was awesome! The experience felt engaging from start to finish. The voice acting was excellent and it was a very nice approach to the jam's theme.
Congratulations :)
It was a interesting game.It certainly nailed the theme. The overall story was nicely done. The voice acting was a risky choice, but having it did make the game feel more personal, and overall more engaging.
Nice job on finishing this game it turned out awesome :D
Awe this game is amazing. Love the idea of helping that little block and seeing it grow up. really enjoyed playing something so different in here, looking forward to play more games from you. great job
Very good! Definitely one of the best submissions in the jam, at least regarding the theme - unexpected and really unique. The game is divided into a couple of simple and fun minigames - nice approach, keeps the experience fresh, makes you always want to see what kind of gameplay will be introduced next.
Ok, maybe I'm doing something wrong, it's only my 2nd jam, but... How do you get rated by more than a hundred people ?!? O_o
Thank you so much for playing and giving feedback! ^^
I'm glad you liked it! This was my first time doing this kind of game, so I'm glad I managed to keep the experience through this game interesting.
And about the ratings, I have no idea!
It's me, Game Changer, People's Committee of Game Development, Cryptcrafter and gamedevgame that have more than a hundred ratings, and we did nothing different I think... This is my 7th jam, and this is the first time this happens to me o.o
This game was very fun to play! Good humour, fun story, well explained gameplays, various things to do… and voice acting! Wow! This is a great take on the subject! The choice of a “story telling” approach is bold!
I read your post-mortem, and if I only give you one advice: don’t care too much about GDD. I used to do the same thing back in the days I was student and it’s not working during game jams. Try to use a more “free” approach, only drawing a game loop, writing some intentions and main ideas. Write your story if it’s a narrative game, but don’t overthink too much the gameplay ^^
Anyay, good job! :D
Thank you so much fo playing and giving feedback!
I was scared of the idea of voice acting something, I owe a lot to my friend who said he would to it for me. It was fun creating this project!
And thanks for your suggestion. It's exactly what happens to me every jam I take part, I spend so much time planning that I end up with a lot of unfinished projects. I'm trying to drop the habit XD
I really like the game, very imersive and fun to play. One of the ones I've had the most fun so far.
Congrats :))
Fun experience, even though I had to exit the game a couple of times, thereby resetting it and having to go through the unskipable beginning bit, the voice acting didn't line up with the words on screen, such as "the reason so many games are broke". But overall really cool!
Well, first I left a comment on how I was stuck in an infinite death loop, then I edited that comment forgetting it would take me to a different page making me restart again. Also, at one point in the music section the music note just stopped moving indefinitely and I was able to win easily as it didn't send anything down. Also also somehow I was able to get attacked by bugs in the boss section of the first bit which made some overlapping dialogue happen.
Nice! I was so much of a spammer in the last round there. No way I was about to lose. But I can't tell which ending it is lol. Awesome job in voice acting and keeping an interesting progression.
I really, really enjoyed this. The meta humor, the playfulness of the narrator, and the way you introduced several different 'gamejam games' into the fabric of this big overarching story is really impressive. A lot of it mirrors thoughts I had with my own game!
Great work, all around! Narrative games are awesome.
Thank you so much for playing and for the nice feedback. It means a lot for me!
This was my first time trying to make a narrative game, I had no idea of the outcome of this experience. Having my players imersed in the story and relating themselves with some parts of this game makes me feel like I've accomplished my objective with this work! This really encourages me to make more of these games, it was so fun bring this idea to life!
I'm really glad you liked it. ^^
This short entry really was a nice experience. Some of the assets were a little bit unpolished, but I think that overall the creativity, variety, and overall journey (funny enough) culminated into a great experience. Please never stop making games!
haha gave me a laugh when you were asked to pick a skill xD I really tried to select with the mouse, wasd and arrow keys and nothing worked! And the narrative was getting more and more annoyed that I didn't select.
Haha well done! :)
For sure one of the best submissions, I am sorry to say but I am not able to fault game this in any way. Really well done!
I really love this! The arts is good, the story is awesome, and the voice actor's is great . This is one of the best games I played today :D
It's a little difficult to explain but I will try XD ..
When the box receive jumping abilities, if you're below a platform and jump to it, you can jump so high if you press Space again right after land on the platform. Actually I don't know if this is intentional or it's a bug XD .. But it's a nice game..
