I liked the game but it feels kinda short and unfinished. I didn't get emotional like the rest of devs in comments, maybe voice acting would be a decisive factor, idk. I get it that it's a story-heavy game which you can relate to as a dev, but would be great to have some kind of gameplay and less walking for 6 minutes straight :)

You can watch my playthrough at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/328062113?t=01h43m46s

Also be sure to rate my game too https://itch.io/jam/blackthornprod-game-jam-1/rate/319192

Thanks Casual Void! Yeah, the game is short and I couldn't get much time to make it feel more complete. I focused too much on quality and  the result is a very short game. However, I will make it complete after the jam.

I have already rated your game. It is a fun shooter game! The popups were annoying for me. But well, it seems to be a part of the game.

I just watched your stream. Yeah, it is filled with walking. But man, I am happy with the ratings. Thank you for playing my game in your stream. It meant a lot to me.

Wow!!! This game is a beautiful emotional journey. All The feeling that you described in the game is actually the daily struggles of our life, and I literally cried at the end. I'm really glad that you made this game and the next time someone said "be someone else" I'm gonna show this game to them. It really worth all the pain and effort when we see the game working.
please keep working on this game after the jam cause we NEED these kind of games in our future. And also love the art style and atmosphere. great job.

Thanks Lucky Dice! I am glad that my game did it for you. I will be working on this game after the jam and make it even better.

Also, don't forget that you got a player waiting for your next game. ;)

This game brought back memories from when I was attending Game Development at college... I heard a lot of "This is not the future", "This will not bring you money!", "Games is for kids, grow up and do something with your life" from my stepfather, but I never gave up! I bet many developers can relate to this, it's a though path where you really need to love to do what you're doing.
Thank you for the experience! This was really emotional and well made!

I was surprised to see that you got so few ratings. I really enjoyed this entry. While being a very simple narrative game, you managed to create an unique beautiful atmosphere I haven't seen in a lot of games in this jam. I love your stylistic choices in regards to the art style, beautiful color palettes and illustrations. As a sound designer I was also surprised you paid much attention to audio. The transition to the "keep walking" phase was terrific. Great work, keep it up! : ) /alex

Thanks Anemoi. I was waiting for such a comment and you really gave me "butterflies in the stomach" feeling.
