Artistically the game is amazing but i do not like how the little monolith/pylons are pixelart while everything else is hand drawn. The lack of music and sound is really apparent in this one and the big eyes gives terraria vibes. This game is great i like it.

i dont understand why there is a reason to hurt yourself
Less is more. The less health you have, the stronger your attacks are. The idea is you can ride line closer to death for extra strength.
