I would suggest for future jams that if you want more ratings and ratings based on your whole game, that you target a playtime of max 4-5 minutes wherein you show off your entire concept and mechanics. Since thats the time most jam reviewers will play. If you find the concept really works out you can always try to make a full game of it that has a bigger time scale
Really nice concept, And even though its hard to control I really like the movement! since it requires some skill and carefull planning for dodging the asteroids.
However after finishing the first level I consistently couldn't click on any of the buttons and sadly couldn't continue
I think it would be really cool if you introduced different ship parts as you progress so you keep having to deal with more movement types.
So really nice idea, I feel like it has some good potential with some more polish and time
The movement feels really nice, and i like the slow introduction of fun mechanics.
I think some of the wall colliders where misplaced at some part there even was a invisible wall blocking my path and i couldn't continue. But i especially liked using the knockback of the gun for platforming and how the scales give some optional extra challenge
Really fun!! love how you have slight control by allowing rotation while still making you have to focus on saving yourself. I only got slightly frustrated because fire instantly damages you if you touch it instead of after a bit.
Still really enjoyable and fun to go higher and higher and have to think about where you move because the fire is always spreading.
