I need some early feedback on my game art

So, because of the theme, I decided to make my game use no sprites, only rectangles drawn with HTML and javascript. However, I fear that the minimalism makes it hard to understand what's actually happening in the game. So, please comment below, what you think is actually happening in the scene... I'm really curious if I conveyed it right XD

You're throwing razors on the ground to dig?

wow yeah, they DO look a lot like razors. but they're not supposed to be....

Like an excavator that needs to dig and at the same time avoid the debris?

Bingo! Well, i mean, its supposed to be trash, but I don't really know how to convey that with shapes.

I like it.

One issue for me: I assume it's all two colours to go with the Less is More theme, but that makes the "trash" you're avoiding not visually stand out from the other things on screen. I'd like something to make them a bit more distinct. Mind you, if that's all that's going to be on screen I think the player will quickly learn either way.

I might change the colour scheme for one on colormind.io for a greater variety. I'm not sure yet though.
