Good work on completing a jam! I like the idea of the game, but it feels like the smartest thing to do is to let all but one planet die and then just protect that since the comets are coming so slowly. You should incentivize the player to protect all the planets!
Thank you for the feedback! The more planets you have, the more score you gain. That is the incentive to keep them around. Although it is technically easier to go with only one planet , keeping them alive means you reach high scores faster!
