Good art, and not bad gameplay. I've noticed a bug (on screenshot), UI doesn't fit properly for my display, I have 2560x1440 resolution.
The art was good, I like how the jump felt, tho I think it could be a little lower. Only problem I faced, was that I became a little lost
I like the character art! It's very difficult to tell where you're supposed to go, however.
Nice game, good job on the pixel art, if really looks like an old retro game
You have a really clean presentation, and the actual controls and gameplay feel nice and you should be applauded for how solid that part is, being one of the harder things to make sure are done nicely within a game jam's timeframe, but i think that it would have benefitted a lot from if you had spent some of that time on the game design/art instead; i tried playing for a while, but i couldn't really tell at all where i was meant to be going, and it got a bit confusing as to what the objective was. it didn't feel super related to the theme as well, since the only thing that told you you weren't the 'hero' character was just that it had a black cloak on.
However, i still think the implementation is really well done, and i want to say that it did feel very fun to play!
