Game's take on the theme
Exchange Exchange and exchanging plays a mayor role not only in the Lovecraftian story but on the gameplay loop. Position Exchange You would have to exchange the position of your soldiers often, since situations develop in different perimeters each turn of the game. Each member of the squad have different habilities that serve each situation in unique ways. As you enchange soldiers more backstory is reveal to you. Depending on the position of your soldiers events will play out in different ways. Ammo Exchange Lack of ammo and resources will play a mayor role on the combat. You will need to order that your soldiers look for and exchange ammunition for them to maintain combat efficiency. Gameplay Exchange The game exchanges gameplay styles constantly, from a visual novel or text based adventure, to a Camera Mode similar to FNAF to an RPG Persona-Inspired Combat System. Exchange of Codes There are codes given to the player at the beginning of the game. The player have to exchange the codes with the rescue team to check on their identity. You will have to make decisions based on this information. This can lead to one of 4 different endings.

Did your team create the vast majority of art and music during the game jam?
Yes most of the art, music and code was created during the game jam, we only used a couple of old backgrounds and sprites for a couple of cameras, and modified old code for specific things like animation, but almost everything else is new.

Did your game use PlusMusic?
No

Did your game use Playroom?
No

Did your game use generative AI art?
no, all the art is human made.

That is weird. Several people have already played it on web in peace and in android phone. I recommend to download it since the Web version is a little experimental anyway and some features don't work as intended.

I just  removed the autoplay on the web. Seems like it had too many files for the itch player. Weird. Thanks for the heads up!

So, The whole experience of this was quite sophisticated.  If the action was reading the text and responding to AI you nailed it. I was expecting more as I got into it.... not sure if I found everything this one had to offer. Lots of reading and really cool UI/menu and AI response system and such. Not a lot of "action"  3.5/5 overall. really like the skeleton of this for a more universal kind of game with lots of features and such. It had a professional feel to it, without a lot of in game action stuff from what I discovered on first impressionable review., maybe there is more under the hood

Thanks a lot for the review! It engorage us a lot to hear all of this. And yep, It needs more action scenes but as you said the focus was on the narration and the characters. There was a lot more enemies (more than 6 more bosses) that were half implemented, so we just removed it instead of having a broken mess.  But they will be back!

Since you were asking if there is more under the hood I can say that you can get more advantages once all the perimeters are clean and the computers hacked,  that will get expanded soon. How did you find the difficulty curve?

I'd have to think about that. I can play again later after I get through more reviews and try to answer that for you
