I was really excited to play this game, but I was frustrated that you don't drag the ball to shoot, it feels like you just drag sort of near the ball and it's really finnicky.  I would TOTALLY be down to play this with some polish.  Maybe an indicator of where to click or a circle to drag the player on and he locks into place or something?

I feel like the having a person to hit the ball made it very buggy and the glitches really ruined it for me however the concept, music and visuals are all very good.

Please could you try my game?https://itch.io/jam/boundless-game-jam/rate/1103809

It's fun but it's hard to control. Good job anyway

This seemed like a really fun game, but there were a lot of bugs that made it hard to play.  I am curious as to why you added the player in the first place, because that made a lot of the glitches.  I feel like it would be cleaner if you just moved the ball (and I think the code would also be simpler).  However, the visuals and audio were pretty sweet and the game concept seemed pretty fun.

Thanks! The player was there to ‘twist’ the Angry Birds like genre, but it did make the game a lot less polished

Fun game! I enjoyed it, not the most creative but decent and playable! great job!

Got to hole 9, but struggled really hard to shoot nearly straight up through the fan thing.
Overall, wonderful game, love the sound track and golf games are always a lot of fun!

Some recommendations: Get the music to just keep looping instead of restarting (minor, but noticeable). I believe there are borders around each level, but perhaps the camera wasn't showing them, but make sure you can't lose your ball. Slow down the fan (?) things. Perhaps find a different way to represent power for the ball, sometimes it was really hard (especially vertically) to get enough power. Maybe create a green --> yellow --> red transition based on how far back you're pulling to max it out. It shouldn't take up 100% of the vertical space to get a max power shot. I believe your calculations cause more pixels to have an advantage!

Thanks!

Ahh took me some time to make it work. But I get it now.
However from second level on I couldn't get the golfer to swing easily. That or he taps it himself.

Still, great concept for a jam and well put together considering the time limits! With a little polish could be a very addictive game.
Music is also awesome.

you can do some of the holes without any shots if you push the ball with the guy

Developer

Yeah, that’s a bit of a glitch, but you can take it to advantage and make records XD

I thought that's what you were meant to do?  Couldn't move the ball otherwise! Aha.

Will try again before rating

Developer

Haha you need to move the player towards the ball and then click anywhere, drag, and release to shoot

for some reason my guy hits the ball automatically when I drag him over.

It’s a glitch that happens sometimes :(
