Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We didn't have any code specifically written for this jam, but we did use assets from the Unity Asset Store as well.

game is really fun, though the abilities feel a bit junky at times. but i never imagined that punching a coffee cup is so satisfying.

Wow! Great graphics and game concept. Good story)

Very cool graphics! Battles are slightly hard

I love the idea, very interesting !

But to be honest the game is too glitchy in general, mainly UI and movement.

Nice environment and music tho. The fact that we need to fight donut and coffee is hilarious lol

The concept is interesting. The movement felt off and there was little to no feedback on  hitting/getting hit. The art was nice tho. Good job, game has potential but needs  a lot of work.

Love the graphics, but the gameplay is too jittery for me. Would love to try the game again sometime when it will be more polished.

Thanks for giving it a try, we are planning on finishing the game post jam so keep an eye out for updates!

Hey Parris! I couldn't find a way to ask you this on anything else... What games did you submit for the Pass The Game Bonus Round?

Developer

Hello :]! You can always contact me via my email: paris@octr.dev

All my socials are linked in my portfolio too https://octr.dev

I didn’t end up entering to the bonus round sadly Brain Dive was my last jam this year and I’ve been working on my own projects since.

Thanks! Are you having fun with the Game Dev Rocket?

Edit : I also didn't submit a project. I am planning on buying a Thomas Brush course, Full Time Game Dev. (Haven't told anyone I know yet, but I am planning on getting real with game development (can you call it that if it also includes marketing?), and publishing my first game).

I would also like to ask, do you work in a large game company?

Developer

I wasn’t a winner for Game Dev Rocket, Rural Blackout was the winning game.

I’ll be starting at Hypixel Studios as a Tech Design Intern working on Hytale this month.

That's great! Hope you have good luck! Also, I thought you worked of Rural Blackout...I suppose my memory was worse that I thought! (Just kidding, I simply didn't get it right the first time). Well...guess I'll go look that game studio up...

After Watching Hytale Launch Trailer : Congratulations! The game is like Minecraft...but more hype! Some may say it looks a bit too much like Minecraft, but it looks cool anyway. There are actual fights (not just broning old zombies), and it certainly looks like there is more combat loot. Anyway, the game looks good on first impression, but as for criticism (I like to offer as just criticism as possible when I can), the servers and modding (live scripting especially) looks a lot like Rec Room, which makes me feel kind of sick...

show those developers what real creativity looks like! Bye, and good luck!

Your hands are a very nice design, but the movement mechanics are not good

Cool game! I really liked the onomatopoeia words that appear when you hit something.

Rated! Cool game

Wow loved the theme! Very relatable! Similar to our game in a sense. I can see a lot of people benefitting from this theme :)

Well made game, that controls feels a bit strange and the animations out of time but that's doesn't interfere in the gameplay.

good idea

Cool idea, fight system felt kinda weird to me but the graphics made up for it ^^

It fits the theme in a very creative way and feels like a Psychonauts story :D

The combat feels a tad jank and the dialouge gets skipped sometimes - but other than that its a lovely game ^^

Cool! The fighting is fun
