"What could go wrong" the player says, playing what they think is a good hand.
Its a game of chance afterall! a game where the loser gets tortured by being turned into a rat!

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We did not make the music from scratch, it is from the total music collection on the Unity Asset Store

the scream your opponent makes is the tom and jerry scream

a handful of sounds are derived from Ultimate SFX Bundle from the Unity Asset Store

Super fun idea for a game, and I feel with some polish this could turn into a full blown card game with really complex rules if you wanted it to be! Great job guys!!

Really fun card game! Interesting idea that the goal is to have low damage on the opponent. I think I was able to win on maybe my 2nd or 3rd try, felt pretty well balanced with the ability to discard cards 3 times per round. Great work on this! geoff

I`m fan of the Card games and i was not waiting to see any card game in that game jam. That game was a great suprise for me and i really loved the idea behind that.

Fantastic, love me some gambling. Pretty neat ideas for the cards’ effects, and the scoring system in general. Confusing on purpose, I assume.

Although, is it just me, or does discarding cards straight-up not work? No matter what configuration of cards I’d pick, it won’t let me discard them, they just kinda shake in place. Am I doing it wrong?

you have to discard 4, no more, no less

Ahh I see. I misunderstood the description then. I thought “you can also only discard 4 cards” meant you can discard up to 4 at most, because of the “only” part. I think the description could be worded a little bit better

Wow I can tell you both put a ton of work into this one! I loved all the variety in the cards (both artwork and their effects) and everything seemed really thought out. My only recommendation would be slowing down the talking audio if that is possible, as it was playing a bit too fast for me to really understand. Good job!
