How does the game fit the theme?
The protagonist decides to fumigate his house with a propane tank. Even though he thinks that nothing can go wrong with this, that is obviously not true.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
all of the furniture was from https://lowpolyassets.itch.io/low-poly-household-item-pack

the gun was from https://chilly-durango.itch.io/low-poly-firearms

and the roach pathfinding code was from a random tutorial

This was a pretty fun game! could use some audio but other than that this was really good

Loved the ending! If the bugs could do damage to the player / shots did damage to the house / had sound effects this game would be perfect! Fun and quirky, I enjoyed how the bugs started getting larger and chasing the character. I was waiting for mega bug outside as the final boss xD

Thanks! The bigger roaches actually do cause damage to the player, but you do kinda have a lot of health. I did also add bullet holes when shooting, but it doesn't seem to work on the HTML5 version for some reason lol

Neat little experience. As a man you has had an ever growing hate of cockroaches and has taken out my rage upon in many different ways, it was rather cathartic to just shoot them.

Not a bad base for a first person shooter, there is a cut scene that is also cool. Add in the sound of hits and the sound of gunfire, and that would be enough to make the game feel much better.
