Tips for audio?

Hello guys!

This is my first Gamejam. I have very little knowledge about coding. I am 29 years old and started this journey last year with Godot. I am also following the cs50 course and I am in week 5 with that so that is how far my programming skills go. I got a small little game up and running and everything is finished except the audio. this is also a completely new field for me so any tips on that department are highly appreciated. I mean: What program? How should i like record audio? With a headset mic? And what settings to use? Thx in advance for the replies!

it really depends on what sounds you're trying to add to your game, without knowing that can't give much help

I'm literally just making all the sounds for my game with my mouth, recording with my crappy headset mic, and using Audacity to edit the sounds. Audacity is completely free, and easy to use. Good luck.

I record some effects and voices using the camera's microphone. Use audacity to edit it.
Also you can make some cool effects in this page:

Edit and combine them on audacity.
Good luck

VCV Rack 2, SunVox, LMMS, Ardour. For first wav editing: Ocenaudio, Audacity.

LMMS and SunVox is easy way.

For live play and record on Android: SynprezFM, dead simple app.

Good luck!
