It is one of the greatest games I've tried for the jam so far!!! I give it big hype :) and share to my friends...thxxx

Really cool concept, great art!

Over all awesome work.

The concept was literally "Rewind" and it was so enjoyable! That being said it was a bit tricky to understand the rock part at first, when the audio line was that you have to go fast but you just have to time the pause button with the audio queue.
As others have said, lava part was a bit difficult and tedious. It did make me want to quit after falling in at the end, but I wanted to see the ending so I pushed through haha.
Hopefully you add more levels to the game since the concept is really fun, and maybe some more puzzle-like stages rather than platforming would be interesting!

Thanks for playing and feedback, I am glad you enjoyed it! :)

What I liked:

Amazing concept. Honestly I think it's the most original idea I have seen out of all the games I've played for this jam. Nice low-poly graphics. Funny voice lines. I'm getting hungry too XD

What I didn't like:

Maybe it was obvious to you as a game developer, but I got stuck looking at the camera for a while because I didn't know I had to press C again to go back.

The weird white particle walls was supposed to be fog...? I think it would be better without that, just rocks.

The part with the broken tree bridge was a little bit frustrating because it was difficult to pause at the right moment.

Isn't it a little bit OP that you're invincible while looking at the camera?

I couldn't get past the lava part.

Bugs found:

It's not a big deal because I can just press C twice, but iIf you pause the game while looking at the camera, when you unpause the mouse gets stuck in the middle of the screen.

If you get close to the fog and then you die while your screen is foggy, when you respawn it is still foggy.

Hey there, first of all thanks for playing and feedback. We know that we didn't communicate the game to the users too well, but hey game jam is about learning, right? :) We will do some improvement in future versions if there will be any. If you wish to finish the game you can simply go around the lava part like this: you get out on the first stone so the fog does not teleport you and then you walk straight to the finishing destination.

An incredibly cool concept! I also was going to suggest adding mouse sensitivity tuning but then found it on the [Esc] menu. Unfortunatelly, I wasn’t able to progress further than the rock-blocked passage. Somehow I never got the time to cross it enough not to by killed by the falling rocks. Sometimes I was able to pass by the first large rock while the rocks were just lying in the passage & then died upon reaching another rock. Some more suggestions for the game:

  • Add subtitles - would greatly improve experience for those who are not that good in understanding English by ear
  • Add the ability to run - maybe this would break something later in the game, but the walking felt somewhat slow

Anyways, the game got me intrigued, I’d definitely play a full version. Great job!

(btw try & rate my game if you like shooters)

Hey there, the stone passage is not about speed but about stoping the stones in camera view over and over so they don't fall on you. (I know that we didn't communicate this to the player the best way, we will definitelly improve that in further versions if there will be any)

Anyway, thank you for playing. :)

Ah, indeed, it’s so obvious! :) For some reason I didn’t think of using the camera more then once while moving through the passage. Thank you, I’ll return to the game now!

Hey, really cool game! The art is awesome and it's amazing how complex this is for being made in a week. The ambiance and sound effects are cool, and the voice acting is also a nice touch.

That being said, there are some problems. I did try to beat to the game, but decided to stop after falling into the lava 3-4 times.

There are a number of bugs, but this is fairly understandable given the one week time limit, and nothing game breaking as far as I could tell. The worst bug I got was permanent fog after touching a fog wall. Touching the fog again fixed it.

The camera mechanic isn't very intuitive. It took me a while to realize that I had to pause the falling rocks twice to have enough time to get past them. I'm assuming that was the correct answer, but the "I have to be fast" dialogue line threw me off, as I thought I just had to run by quickly to get past the rocks. In reality, you don't have to be fast at all, if you pause the rocks again, you have as much time as you want.

The tree trunk part is a little weird. I tried and failed to get past it by pausing it the moment it was about to reset, but then realized that the player can float while in the camera view, meaning I could just take my time and rewind the tree trunk to the perfect point each time it's about to fall. I'm not sure if this was cheese or not.

The lava part is way too tedious. The platforming is too unforgiving and the platforms move too fast while rewinding, and some of the smaller platforms are really hard to see with everything being in black and white. On my final attempt, I made it to the second to last platform, lined it up so the platform I had to jump to was right in front of me, and then fell into the lava anyway. I think this part would benefit a lot from easing up on the jump precision.

I found a lot to talk about here because the game is so complex, and that's a good thing! Awesome work, it's hard to believe you made all this in one week. Good luck with your future projects.

Wow, thank you for the awesome feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the game. If you want finish it (believe me, it's worth it) and see the ending you can "cheat" the parkour part simply by going around it (you jump on the grass from the first stone so the fog does not teleport you and then you walk straight to the finishing destination). We wanted to add some more cool cosmetic features, and polish the game more, but unfortunately we've ran out of time... Maybe we will add them in the future.
