If your game is pixel, consider using button text with pixel words (draw button or use Electric highway font in text mush pro)
If not then do the opposite of ^

Use a kind of color scheme you fell good.

thats all :|

Thank you, but my game is 3-D and my game is not in pixel . As of the color scheme, I now have the menu burning b/w different colors every second or so.

Thank you again :)

Implement in the background an instance of your game running (it could be in slow-mo, or random moves or something like that).

In the foreground choose whatever font and give it a color that makes it pop.

Put the text wherever it feels like it (relative to the background).

So I use ONE big trick that I find makes my menus look a little better. I overlay two transparent panels of slightly different sizes ;) It creates a neat border effect at almost zero effort and can be tweaked easily. Other than that, it's just deciding how you want your text to look and aligning it. My main menu at this time:

NOTE I am by no means a UX/UI expert lol... I work next to one and she's awesome but it's not my strength for sure :)
