Too bad the web version doesn't support the effects, but since you can download them, it's fine. Also interesting concept and nice sound effects!

I HATE your checkpoint system. It was like Getting Over It levels of frustration. That being said, I am a sucker for 2D platformers and I'm pretty sure I finished your game. There's no neon sign flashing "YOU WIN," maybe next time. The platforming felt good, new abilities were well placed, models were a little disturbing, but clean. The punching seemed a little out of place, but there was no prompt for it so maybe it was meant to be removed? Overall, GG. Well Done

The character proportions sort of reminded me of a toddler - the idea of a toddler running around "corrupting" fire pits had me cracking up. The jumping/platforming felt surprisingly good.

I really like the control. It feels very responsive which is crucial for these platforming games!

Nice! I like the idea of a miniature metroidvania with exploration unlocks. The derpy little characters were great. I found the dancing guy, too.

The controls felt pretty good, but the level design was super punishing. I finally got through a bunch of dash jumps to find a section where you just had to jump and hopefully land in the right place but wound up back at the dash brazier. That felt really bad to have to start it all over. The vertical levels can be fun, but making big leaps to offscreen places need to be telegraphed better to help the player feel like they have a chance the first time.

Good job completing this. Well done!
