i used the free trial of gamemaker without realizing i couldnt compile my game... I've posted the game files anyway with instructions on how to access the game but it will make it much harder for people to review it D:
It's fine to submit your game in any format, but just keep in mind that most players probably won't bother to play your game if they need to do a bunch of steps to play it.
