Really nice work! I love how you transposed modern farcical politics onto game mechanics, and I think your descriptions of the various scandals are entertaining enough to keep the game engaging for as long as it needs to be.

Scored 15 on the first run. Great connection to the theme. Well thought out. Loved the feedback given when playing the wrong card + the quality of life decision to highlight playable cards. The following formulation was not clear to me: “get two of the last card you played” - I expected to get the last two (possibly different) cards I played back, rather than two copies of the last card. At times I felt like I was fully stuck, overall, the player does not seem to have much control over the game, although it is enough to influence the outcome a little. Maybe that’s a life lesson about being a public figure in politics?

The game we submitted has a bit similar vibes I feel, I’m curious what you think :D

Wow this has been my favorite game so far! I'm usually not interested in card games but this one's pretty cool :D I'm surprised it doesn't have more ratings by now (now that I see, adding some art so more people are inclined to click on the game, would be a good idea) :O

Very good job, would love to see a more polished version (specially artwise) in the future!

Best of luck!

(Also, if you could rate my game that would be awesome :) )

This is very relevant. I found it humorous how true this rang, and the idea that politicians can keep getting away with what they do based on the shuffle of cards is a great allegory. The aesthetics are nice and clean, readable, and they get the job done. The writing is great, and you came up with a lot of clever uses for the cards, and the summaries of the controversies contrasting with the card descriptions match very effectively.

The game is a tad simple. That doesn't mean there isn't potential -- there very much is -- and it's understandable that you couldn't make a full CCG in seven days, but I think highlighting which cards would work for the controversy was too much. I wanted to be able to figure out which card would work best, and perhaps be penalized when I chose one that wouldn't work. I also think showing the exact numbers takes it away a little bit. Maybe instead of having to-the-digit stats, say "publicity: low/med/high," and then have card descriptions that say, "low/med/high effectiveness against publicity," or something like that. That would make me think about which card I chose a lot more.

You have a very strong foundation, though, and I love the idea. Congratulations and keep it up. Well done.

The most realistic politics sim I have ever played, I just kept printing money without no consequences. I feel just like Joe Biden!
